All of that's exactly what I don't want to deal with. + I'm on a 6 inch lift. I'll pay the $230 for the shop to do it.

Thanks for that reminder and attachment. Printed! It's hilarious that it comes with the truck that has a so-called lifetime transmission. Love the 8 speed transmission, but what a PITA. LOL
They get an emissions credit for saying it's sealed for life, that they then can use somewhere else that doesn't quite meet the emission standards.Everything always goes back to meeting US emission laws:rolleyes:

Whatever they have to do I guess. But at least use their attorney's for some fancy legalesing to put some sort of language in there that implies you should change the fluid/pan/filter and provide an interval. I'll give it to them, I'm at 137K doing it for the first time, although I felt I have pushed it, that's amazing.

If they did that, they couldn't say it's sealed for life and get the emission credit.
Use ZF's service intervals instead,as they're not hindered by the US emission laws.
ZF says to change the fluid between 50,000 and 80,000 miles or every 8 years if you haven't met those milege numbers.
If you tow or beat on the truck fairly often, change it at 50,000 miles,if it's basically a pavement princess change it every 80,000 miles

The zf 8 speed is probably the best transmission going at this time, which I guess isn't saying much, but at least it isn't a rope cvt. But it is very serviceable and if someone tells you it's lifetime fluid, give them directions to the closest yellow bus stop.

I eliminated the coolant lines to the TMU/heat exchanger. Now, I can go a fair bit before my 8 speed gets to the 180 range.

I will install my PPE pan and Jesse's bypass soon, maybe over this long weekend. Then, my temps should stay lower even longer.
