You can go with a RCX and install bilstein shocks . But the new RCX kits have pretty decent shocks now days .
Tuff Country has the 8000's witch are a great shock

did you get your tires and rims yet?

Nope!
Because I was undecided on a lift, undecided on MT vs AT tires, then Trail vs Toyo. FML
Screw this forum :naughty:
Its a no win here....
I want em all.....

But yea, I gave my final response to the shop. Wheels are going out tomorrow.
They said it will take 5-6 days to get to me.

Cant wait.
Hope that lines up with my lift as I got my Bilsteins waiting for both arrive

anyone have before and after measurements with the RCX 6", 1.25 BL, 37's and WITH AND WITHOUT bilsteins? I've talked to a couple of people about it, I want a more level look and don't know if the Bilsteins are required or just liked because they are adjustable.

Also, what are the ideal specs on the rim for a 20"...i.e. backspacing and offset etc etc so there is no rubbing.

All these rigs look great, can't wait to put mine up there.

Chad, you will need the Bilstein to accomplish a level look. There is no way around it.

If I minus my Bilsteins, but front would be 44" and rear 45.75" (minus 1" coil spacer)
My Bilsteins (set to 2.1) brought my front up to 46" even
The RCX Kit only eliminates 1" of rake. I had 2.75" stock rake.

Regarding rims, it depends on the look you want. Do you want the wide stance or slightly more tucked it.
Mine are slightly more tucked in and I have a 20x9, 0 offset.
I think, if I can do it again, I would go 20x9, -12 offset or 20x10, -18 - -24 offset.
I say this because once my flares are on, I will have a flush look. I will see how I like it once they are on.

Im even thinking of just buying 2 20x12 rims in the same make and color with a -44 offset to get the staggered look.

I have pricing on this already, but now sure if this is recommended....but I will make a decision shortly :)

So I'll ask the dumb question, just to clarify...the measurements you provided are from ground to center of wheel well correct? are you running the body lift kit also or just the suspension kit?

Also, would you be willing to provide the part # for the bilsteins?

I won't mind some rubber sticking out-I like the way candy08 (blake) looks, but Im not looking to stick way out like a pre-runner setup. So with that said maybe i'm looking for a -10 to -18 offset? The offset takes place for the backspacing right-just different words and measuring system( -10 vs 4.5 backspacing?). I'm sure the numbers aren't right there, just making a comparison.

So 1400 is by far the cheapest lift kit on the market, but is there a vendor on here that offers the kit for less? Not trying to be cheap about it, but would like to save if possible. I was originally going to go with 35's, but after seeing how the 37's look on ppl's rides I want to go that route now...and at about 400+ a tire AT LEAST rubber will run the build up$$$$$$

I have had a rubicon that started from stock and was turned into a beast of a wrangler...and still own a YJ that I'm constantly changing and upgrading things on.......I really just want to do this once and do it right on the RAM

Thanks for the quick response fastNugly
Chad
