Hello all,
Needing some help or advice. I have gotten code P0740 on my 14 ram 2500 and bought about a year1/2 ago with 138,000 miles on it and now have 156,000. I don't know the service history on it and when I read the code it say's faulty torque converter clutch solenoid valve, dirty fluid, low fluid level, open or short in the converter clutch solenoid circuit. I have checked the circuit, the fluid level and the fluid is not dark but not bright red so with not knowing the service on the truck should I change the fluid? It has slipped out of 6th gear not all the time, but it has. If I change out the transmission, should I go with ATS Allison conversion, Suncoast, Revmax any suggestions. thanks for any help

The Allison conversion seems cool but I can build a really healthy 68RFE for way less than the cost of the conversion.

If you really just want the Allison transmission then go ahead and more power to ya.
