The check engine light is common when doing the full conversion because we are changing the heater control module. I usually goes away after a few on off cycles. I have also seen a few bad conversion harnesses. I havent seen this happen with the O.E.M. auto T harness but as Mpgrimm2 stated it could be defective. That would be your most likely scenario for a check engine light. If the light stays on after you have tried disconnecting the battery and bypassing the harness. I would pull the codes and see exactly what you are dealing with.

Will do tonight. I did reset the battery. I'm curious about the volume control tho. I know a lot of people swap to the steering controls. I wouldn't have no other way to control it

The steering wheel controls are probably my favorite mod to date that I have done. The only part that is a little tricky is removing the air bag. It is held on by three clips on the back of the wheel. There are videos on you tube that show how to remove it. After that it's a breeze. I have done a few of them. I would recommend just getting a leather steering wheel out of a wrecking yard or off of e bay instead of buying the controls separately. You can usually find them on car-part.com pretty cheap. Make sure it's for a 13 or newer if you decide to get one. If it's a leather wheel it will have the controls. As far as the radio goes hopefully your check engine light will go away after you bypass the harness. If you bypass the harness and it's still there I would run the codes. If it's a communication related code I would install the original radio back in the truck and see if it goes away. If it goes away you will know it's defenetly related to the radio.

I had your setup and hated the knob on the side thing. The pulsing of the volume up/down just did not seem linear or quick as a factory setup. Plus the inability to mute instant sucked.

Yes this 100% plug and play. There are no codes needed. You can buy the kit at Allmoparparts.com to convert your steering wheel or find a factory leather wheel. I find a lot of parts on Car-part.com and e bay. check there for a 13 and up leather steering wheel. You will find one if you check everyday. As I stated the audio controls are standard on the leather steering wheel. Any Bighorn,Laramie,or SLT 13 and up will work.

Sorry one other quick note. Make sure it's a black steering wheel. The leather steering wheels come in black or brown.

U1467 is the code

From our friends over at the z...

http://www.ramforumz.com/showpost.php?p=1380602&postcount=2
Section106; said:
The first letter designates the system affected which is the CAN bus in this instance (the controller network).

The second number is either a "0" or "1" with "0" signifying a generic or government regulated code and "1" signifying an OEM code. You have an OEM code.

The third system is the subsystem that is affected which is a "4" so that is Aux Emission Controls.

The final two digit represent the actual code. I don't know what it is but it could have been a sensor sending a signal that the ECM didn't agree with.

Or your gas cap is loose.

That "volume knob" bezel's volume module is being fed into the Can Bus to control the radio's volume and 'may' be defective. Try the radio without that bezel/harness to see if the code goes away (even though you will not have volume control). You are going to have to try everything in bits and pieces to narrow down the cause.

Hopefully there is an actual reference for what that U1467 code is or someone knows it.

If I recall, your truck came with the RA1/Non-BT radio correct?

If so, did you ever add the RA2+ Manual Mirror w/Dual Mics and the Mirror Header harness?

You should be able to get the mirror used via LKQ online, ebay, or similar for $50-$170 and the mirror harness is about $30 online or at the dealership. (pretty sure the "kit" is for 2012 and earlier trucks)

Have you done any more troubleshooting to isolate your U1467 DTC/fault code?

I ended up clearing the code and it never came back. Need to find the mirror. Is the mirror and kit plug and play

They are plug and play from what I have read posted by the several others who have done it (RLk for one).

You do have to pop part of the headliner down at the front/passenger side to route the mirror header harness down to the front passenger kick panel where it plugs in.
