8.4 Radio Screen Replacment

Just wondering here. So I have a 2018 Ram 2500 Limited with the 8.4 Radio with Navigation. My screen is really showing marks where I touch the screen. The marks can not be removed. This screen seems much more susceptible to permanent blemishes from normal use. Bought truck new 23 months ago. Currently at 84,500 miles.
I saw a YouTube video where a guy replaced his screen. Didn’t look too involved. I am thinking about buying a replacement off of eBay.
What do you guys think about just replacing the screen (digitizer)? I’d probably put some kind of screen protector on if I do this.
I’ve also read where some have just added a screen protector and it seems to hide the blemishes. On the fence here on what direction to go.

I've replaced the screen. Its not hard but you can break things if you don't do it right. The replacement screen will do the exact same thing too. This screen protector should hide the blemishes completely and is quite simply amazing.

Clean the screen thoroughly and apply. I also recommended removing the radio/HVAC bezel first as this protector covers the entire screen.

No, that is considered normal wear even though it happens extremely quick on the factory radio. This screen protector can help hide it. Take the radio and/or bezel out of the truck to apply it.

The problem has been reported however it is not covered. there are numerous posts and complaints regarding similar occurrences and it has not been issued as a recall. this shouldn't happen on new vehicle..

Contact @RamCares. They have been helping to get these replaced out of warranty.
