One thing I will say is that Moe's 87mm throttle body is remarkable. I will say though that the fun factor that I added just by installing this throttle body is outstanding to fact that I have noticed a drop in my gas mileage due to now I am always waning to hear and feel the difference this throttle body makes for the hemi. Get's 2 thumbs up for sure with a grin from ear to ear. ~SEMPER FI~

Thanks Rob. I'm glad you are liking the TB.

We have had a rush of 2013 TB orders over the past few weeks, so we are well stocked now. We have (14) 2013 87mm TB's on the shelf and ready to ship.

Can I ask what a new TB, either 85 or 87mm, would do for my truck? I have a BD tuner but have not swapped out cams yet. I am not sure if the BD is giving me any gains either in MPG or power, but I want to keep building up the truck a little at a time with different mod's. Maybe I just don't know how to read it yet? But I see several post's about TB and I am wondering if a new one would actually be worth it.

Our throttle bodies use a tapered port shape that not only increase volume, but they also increase airspeed as air enters your intake manifold. This increase in airspeed is what gives you a nice bump in throttle response while the extra volume is where the hp gains come from at the higher rpms. With your 2012 being fairly stock right now, I would go with the 85mm. The 87mm will show better gains if you add headers down the road, but if you don't plan to add headers, then there is no point in spending the extra $50 for the 87mm. Getting the extra air in doesn't help much if you cant get it out just as easily.

Is the 87mm the only option for the 2013s or is the 85mm OK as well? I'm considering the Vararam/TB combo in the not too distant future but have no plans for headers, as I'm actually looking more to improve (even if only slightly) mpg's. Ok fine...maybe a magnaflow kit down the road too...but that's it! haha

The throttle bodies on the 2013's is completely different than the earlier models. We tested both the 85mm and the 87mm port shape on the '13 core, and the 87mm performed better, even on a stock truck. Because of this we decided to only offer the 87mm for the 2013's.

Ok thanks. Just checking. Hopefully I can collect a nice big outstanding balance from a customer and use some of it to buy some new mods :)
