I have received that screen a few times in my 2013 as well. I was wondering what it meant. It goes away so I never thought much about it.

Have updated your firmware, this was a problem with older firmware on the 2013 and early 2014 8.4a radios. Your firmware should be at version 14.25.05. It also could indicate a problem with your cellular antenna for the radio. If your truck did not come with an 8.4 radio you need to upgrade your antenna or add a dummy load lead such that is made and sold by OEMautopartsco.

Oh also it could pop up if you are in an area with no cellular service, though this rarely happens. In looking at things most of you have 2013's Im guessing you should look at updating your firmware first.

I have not updated the firmware, I guess looking into doing that. Is that something I can download or is it a dealer thing? My truck came with this radio installed.

I have not updated the firmware, I guess looking into doing that. Is that something I can download or is it a dealer thing? My truck came with this radio installed.

I'm almost a 100% positive it's a dealer download only. It's Chrysler's clever way to keep customers coming back to the dealership....lol

I'm 100% sure its not a dealer ONLY download, as I have downloaded it many times and so have many others. Here is a link to the website which has recently changed. You use to use only the last 8 of your vin, but now you use all 17 didgits. When the download comes up it will give you the option to look at the release notes.

i dont drive the truck every day as i drive my camaro in the summer. it started out once in a while, now its almost every time about 2-4 minutes after i start the truck

im sure mine is WAY out of date as i have only updated it once at the dealer over a year ago

Check in the technical forum. It's not a software issue but actually an issue with the radio. Some people are able to download software updates that mask the problem for a while, but everyone that I've talked to both at Chrysler and UConnect said the same thing.

It happened to me after one month of ownership. The only real solution is for them to replace the entire radio/display unit. When and if they do that for you, upon pickup, make them verify for you that all of the software is up to date (mine wasn't) and that everything works including your UConnect services such as remote start/lock/horn through any cell phone apps.

It actually can be a software or hardware issue, many owners who were getting the error, updated the firmware in the radio and this cured it. Not saying it will cure all because in some cases it is a hardware issue.

Just had this message with mine kept popping up, My iphone and all works fine and everything else works great with radio, dealer did some downloads didn't work so they gave me a brand new radio under warranty.
