You mean carbureted? I ditched EFI on a Chevy 1500 about 15 years ago and went with an Edlebrock 600, mechanical fuel pump and an MSD ignition system. All I can say is what a PITA it was. If you have an automatic transmission you may have problems since the transmission is computer controlled. My fuel economy also dropped to around 13 MPG. Good luck!

After about 15 hours I have tore down, replaced lifters intake ignition system and reprogrammed valve body trough a shift kit by transgo. Maybe tonight after work I'll install fuel pump carb and rev limiter.

I read somewhere I can control lockup and overdrive with a toggle switch by shorting to ground. Have any of you tried this or have any idea on the best place to access the correct wires??
