A Catch cam is a must

I could not understand why at 5000 mile I was down 1 quart on the dip stick. Installed a catch can after a 1000 mile it was half full. I think having a catch can is a must.

so for some of us who didn't get one installed until later, how can we undo the damage done without it? how can i clean the gunk that went into the intake prior to installing the catch can?

And Antonio, alot of guys use seafoam to help clean out the motor. I always had a breather filter on my 03, so I never had to worry about the oil buildup.

I would think pulling the tube off at the can that goes to the underside of the throttle body and sucking up about 1/3 of a can of Seafoam with the tube would help. I haven't tried this though.

I ran a catch can on my Hemi Dodge Charger, and it made a HUGE difference long term with maintenance. Your engine and intake manifold will thank you.
