Crappy Tire has some of their jump packs on sale this week
They have the Noco GB40's on sale for $25 off,and they also have their own brand of jump packs on sale.
My Noco 40 is going on 10 years old,and still starts pretty well anything i hook it to.
Mine has seen alot of use,as it gets borrowed everytime i go to the track ,there's always somebody who needs a boost at that place:rolleyes:

Thanks, that's the same regular price as Amazon.ca but I'd rather buy from CTC.

Correction: the regular Amazon.ca price is $160, currently reduced to $150, same as the sale at CTC.

IIRC, the CTC sales run Thursday to Wednesday midnight so, if any Canucks want to get this deal, they best buy it before Thursday.

You can buy online at the sale price and pickup at your local store on the 27th.

My local store has a bunch in stock, I can order now and pickup on the 27th.

Amazon.com has them reduced by 20% or $99 for our southern brothers & sisters.

I'm not certain about shipping costs because for my local CTC store they say the delivery cost is $8.50 but also say, home delivery isn't available for this product.

Fortunately, my local store is about 15 minutes away. Paying for shipping is akin to paying for parking, I'm very allergic to both.

BTW, Amazon, more often than not has free returns and the process is pretty easy. My local Staples store takes Amazon returns, no box, packing or paperwork required.

Amazon emails a bar code, Staples scans from your phone and prints the shipping label and your receipt.

Your credit card is refunded almost immediately.

My recent return to Amazon.com was processed in NY by the UPS Store, same arrangement but the refund must be stuck at the border.

I updated my post above with additional information.

Yea i got stuck by Amazons return on a pair of patio umbrella's. P i s s e d me off to no end, as even letting them know i'd returned 2 umbrella's and Staples had printed out 2 shipping labels, they still never refunded me for the second umbrella.Left a bit of a sour taste, and made me quit using Amazon for awhile.
My local Crappy Tire is about 2 minutes away,3 if the lights red and i have to wait for it to turn green, lol

Too bad about the returns.

Whenever anything gets complicated with Amazon, I prefer to call them because I always get satisfaction.

They're usually quite generous with refunds for any deficiency with the products or purchasing process.

I've often received full refunds when I would have been satisfied with a credit or partial refund. It's always best to speak to a human whenever anything is less than perfect.

I received a full credit for a catch can I ordered after I called to complain when the delivery fool tossed it in the snowbank 150' from my front door.

He obviously used the drive through feature of my laneway and tossed the package out the window as he drove through. One of those Intellicon delivery people, dumb a$$.

We basically have to double US prices for Canada,so they're not quite as good a bargain once i get it to my doorstep :(

The Canadian/US exchange rate today is 1.47350, in other words, after the bank adds their cut, we're looking about $1.50 CDN/US $.

A recent online purchase I made using a Canadian credit card for US $ was billed at $1.58 .

The Canada Post strike ate my US credit card renewal. After that last violation, I won't use the Canadian card again for US $.

Banks are all crooks.

I am going to change the battery in my 2015 1500 SLT with Pentastar this spring just because of age !
YES I used search box but no real answer !
Does the 2015/GEN4 charging system have enough juice to fully charge the AGM Battery ?
I have read mixed reviews on it!
Thanks
AGM batteries can charge faster than lead acid which is why they are great for vehicles that use a lot of amps, like the auto start/stop cars. So they can handle more power going into them on a shorter time. So a higher output alternator can be used if needed, but a regular one will work. However, unlike lead acid batteries AGM batteries don't like to have over 15 volts going into them when they are already charged so systems are generally designed to prevent high value charging when battery is near full or fully charged. This high voltage can damage the AGM unit.

I don't think you can retrofit a controlling charging system with a regulator into a vehicle without out it, but haven't read of anyone having problems upgrading their non AGM batteries with one So probably not an issue. Maybe worst case scenario is the battery doesn't last as long.

Great information ! Thanks... I have a Basic SLT w.V6 Pentastar so I'll just stay with Lead Acid Battery

Thank You everyone for your input

To clarify...AGM (absorbtive glass mat) and FLA (flooded lead acid) and SLA (sealed lead acid) are the exact same chemistry-wise. The difference is only in how the electrolyte is "held" and whether it is vented or sealed. Due to their construction most AGM's have lower internal resistance, resulting in abilty to charge/discharge slightly faster, but this is not guaranteed, nor does it really matter at all in typical use as a starting battery. They all charge the same too...constant voltage.

OP there is no danger in using an AGM vs FLA, except to your wallet. FWIW I use an AGM because they typically are a bit more durable than FLA/SLA

Your vehicle should charge an agm just as it does a lead acid. If it’s a 12v. Should be fine. Unless you run a 16v racing battery it shouldn’t be an issue. I’ve been using agm’s with a conventional trickle charger ,for more than 20yrs in gate openers & vehicles. Without issue. Usually get. 8-13yrs.

Ignore this if you're looking,lol

Amazon Canada - 1-877-586-3230
Enter 1 for English
After the ARU interrogation, say 'Customer Service'. Any other response will be questioned.
The ARU will then ask for a few words of clarification, say 'Returns'.
This will get you into a cue for the next available human.

Amazon USA - 1-877-345-3364
After a short ARU greeting, with no interrogations, you're dropped into a cue for the next available human. It's too bad they don't provide the same simple level of service at the Canadian number.

There are other methods to reach a human requiring a myriad of clicks and sub-menus but these will not produce phone numbers, only the option to enter your number for a call
back.

An ARU will call immediately, provide an interrogation to determine your requirements and then drop you into a cue for the next human. Limiting the response to 'Customer Service' and 'Returns', seems to be the shortest route to the hold cue.

You either start the returns process or click the Customer Service link at the bottom of the page. After several carefully selected clicks, you will get to a place where you enter your number.

Before using these numbers that were tested today, compare your current date with the date of this post as these numbers change periodically.
