It' actually a $250. Fine to kill a seagull in NJ. I agree with MarshRam. Hate 'em but everything has a right to exist (almost everything, there are exceptions I will not discuss) but wouldn't kill one. That's how I taught my 6 yr old son "catch and release" that day he snagged one with a Fluke rig.

Does it matter? Seagulls exist to sh*t. A lot of that nasty stuff lands on cars. The stream gets interrupted and lands as distinct blobs, not a rope of bird shat.
