A Stupid ?

2015 SLT 1500

A stupid question for you all !
I installed LED bulbs only third Brake light and reverse lights !
Tonight I noticed the brake lights still work when I step on the brake when the truck is off :O
Is that normal ?
Is it because the Bed lights on the third brake light are Hot all the time ?
And Yes I know I am not normal lol
or is the LED Brake light bulb back feeding ?
Inquiring minds want to know lol I never noticed it before till i tested the LED'S

Perfectly normal. Just checked mine. All three brake lights come on with ignition off……

Yea I have the 4th Gen and may add a 5th Gen soon lol.
Good to know it is a common thing ! I assume because of the hot wore for the Bed Lights that is why, /I never noticed it before and I had the truck since 2016 lol
I see your from Wisconsin . I used to go to Milwaukee ever year to see my grandmother ! My mother was born and raised there ! And I visited family Ft, Atkinson , and a few othe towns, man my memory stinks lol

I'm pretty sure that's normal for all vehicles, brake lights work whether the vehicle ignition is on or off.

IIRK NHTSA mandated that years ago, but WTH, LOL. Now, since mentioned, I gotta go and see if it happens on my Motorcycle. Since not fed Hossie Yet, I can go down to the garage and see, and report back.
