Are the systems related that would cause the traction control system to derate the engine upon sever loss of traction while the traction control is activated? oh and cruise control mixed into all that too.

I think I have narrowed down my issue of loosing throttle around corners and bumps. Iver noticed sometimes when I corner hard in a 90 degree turn I'll loos all throttle and sometime the abs light and traction control loss if traction light will come on.. sometimes clear on own or at restart.

Last night I had it on cruise control and his some decent bumps from our crappy california roads and it kicked me out of cruise but the dash readout showed me still in it.

I'm thinking this is a abs sensor or wheel bearing failure that is causing this issue, any thoughts?

You can test your theory by pulling the abs fuse, which will also disable your trac ctrl and light up your dash.

IIRC from reading all the expert information here and other forums is that the ABS sensors on the hubs provide data to not only the abs, but also the traction control systems of the truck. this is how it knows to cut power based off the rotations of any given wheel and to sense the lockup of one for the ABS. those sensors are imbedded into the hubs.

sounds exactly like what would happen to me on my old ford escape when an ABS toner ring would break....i would start looking at the ABS wheel sensors
