I have never seen this discussed but does any one know if the ABS Module needs to be bled on the 4th Gen 1500?

I am assuming we have one somewhere.

I am about to put the power stop system on and replace my Front Brake hoses.

About 6 months ago I power Bled my system and replaced the fluid but on the first brake push My pedal feel slightly spongy and then on second and subsequent pumps is nice and hard.

That's why I am wondering about bleeding the module since the rest of the system bled out fine.

Thanks

you will need a special scan tool to bleed the module if your pedal is nice and firm leave it alone

I think I remember reading someone using AlfaOBD to enable the ABS bleed procedure. AlfaOBD gives you access to more than just changing BCM configurations.

You only need to bleed the ABS system if you think you’ve got air in it or you’ve replaced the hydraulic control unit. You will need a scan tool in order to do it though.
