2016 Ram 1500 engine tick, fuel pump code causing check engine light, and 1/2 cup water dripping out of back side of muffler. Runs fine and gets good mileage, but does occasionally crank for a 20 second before starting if it has been setting for a couple days. Could it be something other than roker in 3.6 engine?

The water from the muffler is normal, it’s part of the combustion process. The tick from a lifter or rocker arm failure won’t cause the CEL for a fuel pump related dtc.

The extended crank is likely due to a failing fuel pump, somewhat common as are lifter,rocker arm issues.

63000 miles. certainly wish it was still under warranty. Service says sometimes its lifter, rocker and cam damage.
