May I ask which factory screen you are using for your system?
I have a 2015 with the 8.4 screen and was told about the load requirement.

Do you mind explaining your setup from the factory head unit to the amp(s) to your speakers/subs?
I have the 5” on my truck and haven’t installed the back up camera yet. I spliced into the harness behind the radio and used speed cable to go to the amp under my seat and back to the head unit behind the radio. I used the color code for wires that you can find here and made sure I maintained polarity to the amp and back to the speaker wires. The load issue others have had never came up even when balancing and tuning the amp. I moved inputs around on my amp and never once did the HU ever shut off. Speakers are Kickers all the way around and I kept the factory wires in play thru the whole install except where I vampired them.

Old school but I don’t want pay someone to do what I’m able to do.

Hopefully this gives you what your looking for?

sorry for the delay on this. i completely forget about this untill i received my harness in the mail today .

the harness is made by Axxess (metra). it's the DSP plug n play harness
AX-DSP-CH5
for chrysler 2013+

this harness comes with load resistors pre-wired on a separate harness that plugs into this one so it lets your factory stereo see a speaker load.

you cut the 8 pin plug off vehicle end, use these 8 wire to connect to amp out put... colors match industry standard.

the 20 pin plug, you can just cut/depin the same 8 colored wires and send to your amp hgh level input, or a LOC with signal summing ( like Audio Control LC7i ).

Cool. i followed you until the 20 pin plug part. lol. but it sounds like an option to look into. i want to do the least cutting possible spending the least amount of money possible to basically add some wattage! I still love the Pioneers I added and my head unit is fine for my needs.

the 20 pin is on this harness, zero cutting anything factory.

you would cut nothing if you used Axxcess DSP.... but there are much better choices, and minor mod to this t-harness allows us to use better audio equipment without cutting factory wires

Just last week, PAC-Audio came out with an updated AmpPro that is a simple harness attached to 3 sets of RCAs. Its called the AP4-CH41 (version 2). The harness now accepts Ram trucks with and without the factory amplifier.
