Sounds cool when they suck air!Just ordered an aem dry filter. For those of you that have done this have you noticed a difference...at all?
I figure it wont do much till i get a tune. The better flowing filter and a tune and long tubes should be enough for me. Not wasting money on a $300 cold air intake when the factory intake is a great design. And it will be useless then a whipple is added to a forged motor
Have one installed for a few weeks. Maybe just a lil tad more responsive. But not been up to much highway speeds. I know not gonna do a lot for performance, more air maybe improve MPG a lil. Just not gonna go out and get a complete CAI or Varaam system put on a truck that spends a lot of time outside the front door.
If I want performance, I'll go buy me a Charger/Challenger/Camaro/Stang and play, LMAO..
ADDED: My Honda Trike purty fast, but alas, my senility may show up, and I know MY REACTIONS are just not what they were in '72,. LOL
These trucks with just a few bolt ons can be made just as fast as the cars![]()
You only get more horsepower if you put the AEM sticker on the back window.... hahaha!!!
A drop in filter is a waste, a cai is not a waste normally HOWEVER in the ops case if he is going with a Whipple it will be as the supercharger will require a different intake.
