I don't have EFI Live but does it have the ability to clear faults? Can't believe PPEI sent you a updated delete tune. They are out of the delete tune business. You sure it's a delete tune and not an intact one?

You need the original tune that was downloaded to the truck by Autocal modified I would think. Don't see any other way to do it than reload the stock tune to the truck and have a modified tune made and then downloaded to the truck to fix the problem.

You need to contact whoever you bought the truck from and see if they know where the Autocal is that still has your factory tune on it. Push come to shove you could go back to the dealer and have it reflashed with a new factory tune but that kind of defeats the purpose of deleting it and would probably cost a fortune because it would be an emissions legal tune and you would have to put all the emissions equipment back on.

Did you delete the original files that were on the autocal? I would bet the new files they sent are for a non-deleted truck and will throw a fault because you have deleted the hardware.

Did you have to purchase new tunes from PPEI or did they send them for free?

Your first step should have been to re-load the original delete tune file. Some tuner write tunes in a way that the missing hardware is blocked for "x" number of key cycles then it will throw a fault (it's dumb but some do it that way). If you re-load the file it will start over again.

My advise is to stop beating blindly at the wind and take the truck to a shop that does delete tunes and have them install a new tune in the truck. I had a shop in the area where I live re-tune my truck from the original H&S minimaxx to a safer EZlynk tow tune after the MM compromised my head gasket. It wasn't real cheap but it was definitely a lot easier than me trying to feel my way through it. If you need a list of reputable tuners near you call Starlite Diesel Performance in Salt Lake City, UT. They recommended the diesel shop that did my new tune and I was quite satisfied with their work. The number is 435-578-1230
