After market remote start

I just installed one last Saturday it was a Fortin evo 180 bucks on amazon took 30 mins to install and uses the factory remote. there is a video on YouTube about it .so far it's working great. soon as I figure out how to share a link I will post it.

I have one I bought from Doug on eBay. Was under $200. Works like a charm and uses factory remote

the fortin and dball are both great units. just search around on the audio and diy section of the forum heavily talked about

you will get same range out of them like you do the mopar units.

i use to have the dball unit in my '11 durnago. i used the factory fob for short range starting, then i paired it with DEI's smart start so i could start it via a phone app also or for long range. like said above with the t-harness they sell its like a 30minute plug and play install.

I'm looking for a solution too. If you have a part number can you share that? I looked on Amazon and the compatibility check showed no results for my 2015 RAM 2500 5.7. Does the Fortin use the factory remote (press lock 3x) or does it have it's own remote? Thanks!

I had a Viper alarm/remote start on my 2003 Ram. Best remote start I've ever had. The thing would work from ridiculously far away.

all do the 3x lock from factory fob or you can add remote kits/phone app kits for longer range. the biggest downfall is the factory fob only works about 100-200' away on a good day. where the remote kits can do up to 1-2000' with 2-way feedback or the phone works anywhere you have cell service.

So on the 3x lock remotes is there a way to make it not honk the horn. I would hate to wake the neighborhood up honking my horn early in the morning

disable to horn on lock feature. problem solved.
