a buddy wants me to help him put in an aftermarket amp and sub in his 2011, he has the premium alpine system, he is keeping everything else factory, so what does he need to get to get the proper pre-outs?

I have a line out converter hooked to the proper plug wires on the plug for the sub. I have the alpine system and no wires go to the front or any other speaker in the truck. Just the OEM sub

He might be able to use the inputs in the floor of the rear storage space... I found the wires in mine but I didnt ahve the system with the amp sooo my wires werent hooked up, maybe since he has the alpine system they will actuall work pull the plug out and test them. Might save some time. Otherwise use the LOC.

Here is a picture of the plug in the back:

^ Yep -- if only adding sub, simply use the OE sub signals for input to LOC. When he wants to start changing other speakers, and adding another amp, decline to help. :)

Just FYI i have the Uconnect 5.0 without the Alpine and the sub inputs didnt work... I didnt get any signal through them. I am assuming this is because you need to have the alpine system for these to work... I cant confirm this, I just ended up putting the LOC in my dash behind my head unit.
