What are the important things to consider when looking at headers?

"Primary tube diameter (in)"
"Collector diameter"
"flange thickness"
"flange style"

I don't know much about it all. What should these numbers be for my 2011? Any recommendation other than the AmericanRacingHeaders for around $1500?

^^ that's what I'm gonna get. gonna get the bare ones when an online store has a holiday sell and get em for like 250 bucks then get em jet hotted.

heard good things about JBA's.

idk about your 2011 but a general thing to look at is what kind of metal and the gauge. can make a difference in how long your headers last.

Thanks codes...yeah I'm getting the titanium-ceramic coating for best thermal and anti corrosion performance.

I will have my JBA Titanium Ceramic coated headers Wednesday and I'll be installing them the first of February if nothing happens. I almost had myself talked into the ARH longtubes but for a basically stock engine I didn't see the benefits and the extra cost by the time I had them coated and moving the factory cats. Now if I were going with a supercharger or a stroker motor or both I would buy the ARH longtubes.

Agreed. I'm glad I just purchased the JBA Cat4wards. Good to hear some are thinking along the same lines.

From what I have read you need to buy a set of factory manifold exhaust gaskets LH side 53013944AA and RH side 53013943AA and a Stage 8 Header Bolt kit Part # SGE8916. I've read the JBA gaskets suck and the Stage 8 Locking Fasteners are nice.

Everything installed no problem. Awesome! Engine noise is slightly louder but not by much...and overall exhaust sound may be a bit deeper...truck runs differently...easier would be the word. The stock manifolds are ridiculous. These freed up the engine considerably. Eco mode seems to run more often now, and you don't have to apply the gas as much to get to where you want to be.

OK.... I've always been under the impression we couldn't put headers on unless we could tune.

So are you guys getting any error codes or any weird things happening?

I'd love to put higher flow headers on but don't want to complicate anything.
