Anyone know how to turn off the car alarm from going off when you use the key without the fob to unlock the vehicle? I didn't have this issue on my 2015, but my 2019 Classic goes berserk when I unlock with this method. I take the key out and throw it into my arm band when I go out for runs, but its annoying setting off the alarm when i get back to the truck.

Unfortunately it's the way they operate and there's no setting to turn it off. If your 2015 didn't do it it's because it most likely didn't have a factory alarm. I know they all work that way from 13 and up. My 14 does the same thing. All my other vehicles will disarm the alarm with the key but the 4th gen Rams don't have the wiring and the mechanism to detect the actual key turning the lock. It's definitely a pain if your fob is dead or a situation like yours where you don't want to take your whole fob with you.

Well that sucks. How waterproof is the fob if i were to try to keep it on me? I'm a huge sweater when i start putting down the miles.

I would try putting it in a small ziplock plastic bag that you can seal. It's pretty water repellent but I wouldn't reccomend getting it wet very often.
