Just placed my order for the GGS 1724 Kit and an extra GGS1724 Pad. Mark from GGSCorp has been very helpful in hooking me up with what will hopefully be the correct mounting brackets. If everything goes well and I don't have too much of a list of things from the wife, I will get everything installed, enable the codes and calibrate the sensor over Thanksgiving break!

Search is a cool feature, just plug in “tire size” and it will bring it up. Did it in Tapatalk and it brings up about 20 posts..

I do agree with you we need an index for this thread..

I cant remember but check the first post and see if its listed in the google docs yet..

Some form of an index is a great idea...
@Ghost&Ram would definitely do it if he could.

Unfortunately the forum has now been setup to prevent you from editing your own posts after maybe 24hrs. This prevents malicious members from deleting useful content if they get upset.
Didn't use to be this way but it has been since they updated the site software at the beginning of the year and there apparently isn't any interest in reversing it or setting it up to allow edits for specific user levels (besides vendors & admins).
I wish they would, especially for threads like this and ones that the pictures no longer work and need updated links.

See here and I encourage constructive feedback https://www.ramforum.com/index.php?posts/1787913

Thanks @Mpgrimm2
I’ll create another doc soon and go back through the thread with links to various answers to repeated questions.

So that's why I can't edit my old posts. So annoying. I agree if you're a contributing member you should have access to edit your own posts....

So has anyone been able to make any changes/adjustments to a 2018 without the bypass harness, or it everything secured behind the security module? My harness is supposed to be here tomorrow, but I have a service appointment on Saturday morning so I want to hold off on putting the harness in place until thats done. I really REALLY want fogs with high beams.

As a former admin on many forums I can say that all that would be required is the addition of a defined user group, and the appropriate permissions set for that group. Seems like the admins are kinda lazy about it...

Yeah seems like it should be a simple task- especially since we already have groups enabled, ie Contributing Members, Military Members, etc. BUT, I know they were having issues with groups recently, so there may be more to it than we are aware. Best bet would be to go to the thread @Mpgrimm2 linked and keep at it there, maybe we can get an answer...

I agree with @Hemi395 - the Contributing Members group is would be ideal for this function.

If I understand the bypass as it was explained to me, yes you need it to do changes to a 2018. And I would agree as to not going to the dealer with the harness installed. I have an appointment for Tuesday and just to be safe, I removed my bypass this evening

Yeah they have it so tight that you’re not even able to clear Check engine light codes with a regular OBD2 scanner.

Quick shoutout to @quietpeen for unlocking this thread for me to edit. I’ll try to start gathering information for an index and cleaning up the OP for pertinent information. Thanks guys/gals and bear with me until I can get this going!

Edit: Started making changes. Running through phones hotspot sucks with my signal here. I'll continue with more when my internet comes back on.

hey Hemi395,

in reply of #2403 - I bought ATC harness from Mpgrimm2 and installed it myself by his instructions that he provided an link online or paper either way will work. I purchased OBD Genie programming for my 2013 Dodge Ram truck and it does it's job as long u follow the instructions from OBD Genie as well ... here's link ... yes it little pricey however it does it job and easy to do: https://www.obdgenie.com/collection...roducts/ram-single-zone-automatic-genie-c-sza

I don't have an issue yet with anything above!! :)

also you need purchase temperature sensor so it bolted underneath the knee dash panel it can be purschased thru eBay as well ... Im not sure what year vehicle is your

I hope this helps ya with your configuration ... so you can see auto button and numbers on your temp slider

Update on the ATC mod. I drove the truck this morning and left the mode on floor. Went to a couple places so the truck got shut off for 15-30 mins several times. On the way to the last stop I tried the dash vents from floor. No problem. Floor to split. No problem. Split to Floor/Defrost. No problem. Full defrost. No problem. Then the moment I was dreading, defrost to dash. Took a little longer but it worked! I then went back and forth between dash and defrost several times and it worked flawlessly. Auto mode works perfectly also. So at this point I was pretty happy. Went into my last stop, came out 15 mins later, started the truck. Went to dash, no problem. Dash to defrost, like @Ghost_RAM said it can take 20 seconds, and 20 seconds later it went to defrost. After that it was much quicker. I went back out to the truck this afternoon and tried it again, dash to defrost and back. Same thing took 20 seconds or so the first time then worked much quicker. So it looks like it just needed some time to fully accept the settings.

Only thing I noticed is when I use the physical temp up/down buttons the temp changes on both sides of the 8.4 (like a dual zone with sync on), can anyone else with this setup tell me if this is correct?

Congrats, glad it’s working for you. As you said, the more it’s used it’s a little quicker but for whatever reason the first or second time mine takes a little while.

If I move my temp one push at a time it shows only the driver. If I move it more than one setting like from 70 to 72 the passenger side will pop up as well. It will only display the current temp in the upper left corner showing current setting.
