So my headlights and fog lights stay on even in the day on the automatic setting in the knob. I don't recall enabling anything like that. Would there be any option that might help me turn them back to normal? I did notice that they take about 5 seconds after the engine turns on for them to come on. Any help appreciated

Did you do a config dump before you started and do you have the logging on? If so you should be able to see what got changed unintentionally.

Looked at the log. Nothing jumped out. Only anomaly I see is app shows auto head lights need to be NOT set for them to come on.

I will upload my sheet tomorrow. It's really annoying I have to drive with the lights on off all day long so my headlights and fogs won't be on.

Broke my Auto Headlights when doing the DRL mod. I have my DRL working as DRL optional and it has the option to turn on and off in the display. So DRL is working great.

Now for the issue. In Auto, my headlights no longer turn off with the truck on. They also turn off immediately when the truck is shut off rather than staying on for the delay time.

AlphaOBD Android, when you go to the menu option and say yes. Says they are not enabled but the upload contains.

Auto Headlamps Present: Yes

Setting to yes in the app causes them to be disabled. Where the auto position on the headlight switch behaves exactly like the off position.

Anyone run into this issue and been able to fix it?

No. Later change log had them set to high beams. What do you think is incorrect?

On the projector headlights there is dedicated drl.
So all the dedicated drls have to be turned on.
What year is your rig

Ok im here and just have two questions since I am an Iphone user...i bought an android phone that has the touch screen stick inside it.
Will this android phone work to enable sales codes with the alpha obd?
Second question...does the phone have to have service (be able to make calls) to work, or will the bluetooth still work if it has no service?

I wont actually be starting any of this until july, but was about to sell this android phone for $40 and thought i should keep it.

The phone should work just fine, stylus or not. It's the operating system which counts.

No cellular service is required. Again it's only using the OS and bluetooth capabilities.

FYI from another thread...

Just wanted to let you guys know that I have successfully swapped out my 44-44 for a 44-45. All you need is a 44-45 case, a 44-45 switch and AlfaOBD software. Once the case and switch is swapped out you just need to change the “Transfer Case Type” within the BCM. This is done with the AlfaOBD software. You change the t case type from 44-44 to 44-45 the truck then controls the encoder motor perfectly. The result is your truck will perform as if it came from the factory with 44-45.

I believe I am the first person to successful swap t cases and have it work properly on the forums.

Has anyone found a setting for the remote start shutdown timer. It runs for 15 mins, would be nice to extend that.

You'll just need to have the ability to connect that phone to Wifi to download the app since it doesn't get cell service.

@2010 Infantry Vet what year is your truck? Im not sure what years Alfa supports earlier than 2013.

I tried Alfa on my 2006 3500 and 2010 Town and Country. Seems to recognize and work. Didn't have much I wanted to do with them but did play with speed limiter setting and it did show it changing.

Mine is a 2010
2010 will have limited functionality if any at all. To my knowledge, the 2012 is as far back as it goes for now and even the '12s are limited in what they can do. Alfa is for 2013 to 2018 (fully supported at this moment in time). Even in those year spans the '13s and '14s have had some issues with limitations of the BCM.

Will i be able to activate my heated seats, steering wheel, and unlock my sales codes for my turn signal mirrors?
I honestly don't believe so but I cannot say with 100% certainty. All of those are located in the BCM and with the drop down menu there are clear listings as low as 2013. However, I know a 2012 connected successfully but his functionality is different. Maybe he will chime in and lend some advice. I do know the BCM when connecting to Alfa will determine the year of the vehicle and connect to it accordingly.
