Did you ever post your starting BCM dump? I had asked someone who had the CD from factory with the same year truck as mine to do so so I could compare the BCM dumps and look for what might be the setting for the CD player. I don't think it ever happened though. Was that you I had asked?

-K
It was me, My truck has the factory CD player but I can't seem to do a BCM dump to Google drive either. It is definitely a code in the BCM but I can't find it with the alpha tool and I couldn't find it with the AE tool either. Maybe I will see if STecoD can help me get the BCM dump and download to Google drive to work. He is better with computers than I am. One nice thing is the dealer can activate the CD player in most cases. That being said it would be nice to be able to do it with the alpha tool for those who want to add the option.

Hey guys. New member here. I have read through the enitre thread over the coarse of a week. I have managed to change my splash screen and enable drl and a few other minor changes. The main reason I bought it though was to turn my tpms off. My tpms shows the correct pressure, but I get a "service tpms system" every time I start the truck. Before I got my 4 digit code, I turned the tpms light off by connecting to the cluster and selecting telltelltpms. It worked for a short while, but came back on. I stopped by the dealer and got my code. The problem is that when I enter the code, it says enter a valid code and kicks me back to the first screen. Going to go back to the dealer again tomorrow to double check he gave me the correct code. Anyone have any suggestions if I get the same code? Also, When you guys refer to CSM, is that the same thing program customer features? I cant find anything that says customer settings menu. I am using this on my 2013 2500 megacab laramie longhorn. thanks

It is possible the dealer gave you the wrong code or they inadvertently transposed a number. Definitely go back and double check. Your code should be a 4 digit numeric code. As far as the CSM menu goes for some reason it doesn't show up on the 13 trucks. The developer was contacted and said they weren't configured in the 13 BCM which I honestly don't understand. If you go into other control units like say 2015 or 2016 (while not connected to your truck) you will see the CSM (customer settings menu) selections.

I just reconfigured my headlights as described in the above link. Under "Vehicle Config 3-High Intensity Discharge Head Lamps" I changed it to "Yes". I then went back and reset the LED Low and High Beam bulbs back to "NO" under CBC features; there seems to be no negative effect after setting the lights as HID, as I have no bulb-out errors despite running LEDs in both the Low and High beams. After a half-hour test (sitting in front of my house with the engine both off and at idle, then driving a few miles to grab a coffee), I noticed NONE of the slight pulsing/flickering I WAS getting.

Seems like, at least for the Quads, the key to not needing PWM modules and Canbus Adapter things is to set your lights to HID present. Time will tell, especially to the longevity of the bulbs, but for now, it seems to work.

The setting is HERE:

View attachment 149349

IF we change to this setting, Does that mean we have to have LED bulbs in both "Low" and "High" beam? What will happen if I first just change out the High's first, and still run Halogen's in the Low's?

Broke my Auto Headlights when doing the DRL mod. I have my DRL working as DRL optional and it has the option to turn on and off in the display. So DRL is working great.

Now for the issue. In Auto, my headlights no longer turn off with the truck on. They also turn off immediately when the truck is shut off rather than staying on for the delay time.

AlphaOBD Android, when you go to the menu option and say yes. Says they are not enabled but the upload contains.

Auto Headlamps Present: Yes

Setting to yes in the app causes them to be disabled. Where the auto position on the headlight switch behaves exactly like the off position.

Anyone run into this issue and been able to fix it?

Ah, ok. I thought the ID started with an R. :) If you can get a dump of yours I'll do a line by line comparison with mine and see if we can find it.

When I set my fog lamps to LED but left the halogen bulb in, the computer shut off both lights after flashing them one time each.

Not sure about the HID setting but would presume it would be the same.

Best if you can replace both at the same time as the HID setting isn't individual like the LED setting.

thanks for the info! So maybe "LED" settings for just doing 1 set at a time, and than switch over to 'HID" when I have all LED bulbs

Sounds like a plan.

For my 2016, the only issue I had for the fog lamps was even with the LED in and setting Alpha to LED enable, the computer would shut down the lamps everytime when I turned them on in accessory or run position without engine running.

Once I shut off the truck, waited for EVIC to turn off and start vehicle, they came on no issue without canbus decoder/resistors.

Seems PWM on 2016 isn't disabled in those run states with the Central Body Computer setting but is with engine and alternator running.

Too bad there isn't an HID setting for fogs in the BCM.

That was my next question, HID settings are only for headlights? and does not include the fog? They are still switched in the LED settings?

It makes sense if you think about it. Alfa can only make OEM style changes.

HID's only ever came in the headlights on any Chrysler product that I can recall.. never fog lights. It makes sense from that point of view.

So my headlights and fog lights stay on even in the day on the automatic setting in the knob. I don't recall enabling anything like that. Would there be any option that might help me turn them back to normal? I did notice that they take about 5 seconds after the engine turns on for them to come on. Any help appreciated

Right. Alpha can only make changes to the options preloaded in the BCM by the manufacturer.

Any chance the light sensor on the dash is being blocked?

No I've already cleaned it. What feels weird is that it take the 5 seconds to turn on. When it usually is as soon as you turn on the truck the headlights turn on.

Hmm, I agree the delay is strange.
Are you able to turn the fogs off with the button (while in auto) and have just the headlights on?
Just trying to eliminate the possibility of a switch gone bad. I've had to replace my headlight switch once and repair another.
