I was lucky that I was able to find it a couple of hours from my house. Not sure how shipping would be. Seems like the yard I got it from had just cut it out and had a couple of gallons still in it. I drove it home in the bed in the hot Texas sun to let as much evaporate as possible then dumbed the rest out when I got home. Rinsed it out with alcohol to give it a quick clean.

Scored a tank from a 2015 with the shield, $160 all in. On the way to me from ATL now. Should have by the close of next week for a weekend install.
After installed, you just programmed the tank size to 121 liters and the rest balanced out yes? No issues with the EVIC such as fuel level registration full/empty or DTE calc?
Thanks again for the lead!

Just finished adding remote start to my 2017 Ram Cummins. My truck didn’t have the harness or plug for the hood latch, so I installed a 1k ohm resistor at the body side module harness under the PDC. Wires go direct to BCM. I simply spliced in the resistor between the purple/blue and purple wires on pins 1 & 2 at the connector. I don’t have the safety feature of the hood latch, but for the price of 1 resistor, ($5 for a pack of 100) I have working remote start. I might buy the hood latch and harness in the future, but I can confirm it works this way. Set all remote start features with Alfaobd and rf hub update. No more cold mornings. Love it!

I left the calibration completely alone and changed the tank size only. I am 3 fill-ups in and it is working great. Take the truck to 0 DTE and it has taken right at 29.5gal each time. I am good with a 2.5gal reserve. DTE is correct. Averaging 14.7mpg my truck is showing this. Calculates out to right at 29.5. Tank is showing just over half full, picture is taken at an angle and shows more than straight on.

Any Android users out there that have an old apk store with a previous version of Alfa? Like maybe early November or even October?

I've got one from 11/26/18 and one from 10/22/18. Not sure what actual version numbers they are though. You're welcome to them.

I'd take a copy of both. I'd like to see if there is something missing or a bug that won't allow me to change my tire size and calibrate the fuel settings

I had set the full on mine to 98% a week or so ago and I distinctly remember it making a difference in the gauge reading, but after seeing your post I went out and double checked. Sure enough, it was back to 91%. I set it to 98% again, shut it down for a bit and checked again. Back to 91% again. This is with the latest Android version and an MX dongle. Has anyone gotten the setting to stick?

-K
I will check mine in a little bit. If I recall, I was one of the first to actually get the settings to take and be functional; to be honest I have never gone back and re-checked, since I confirmed (in my case at least) that those settings actually took, and worked.

Mine is yes. The only thing is I'm not sure if it works or not. I have it as a option on my radio but it wouldn't turn them off. I just changed my setting to what I posted to you and haven't tried to turn it off yet after the change.

And come to find out that it seems to have reverted to the 91% setting, yet maintained the 2% low/empty setting. Interesting. I reset it to 98% so I'll see how it goes through the day.

I downloaded a older version of alphaobd. Just scrolling through I do notice that vehicle configure 4 for fuel is missing. I'm going to try and use this version and see what happens.

Edit. What I'm going to try is use my tablet that has the current version on it edit vehicle config 4 fuel capacity back to 0 (since I've tried to get it to read 121 but only will read on the logs 85) and use my old phone with the older version to set vehicle config 3 to 121 (which it is) and try and change the %'s

I was unsuccessful in using the old app. Because someone sent me the apk files it wouldn't let me connect because it didn't have a license attached to it. So tried with the my app and when I go to change it still will say current configuration set at. 121. I have to read through the current logs to see if anything actually changed.

I have a question regarding tilt mirrors in reverse, will the standard door modules control that feature, do you need the higher trim mirror's for it to work? I was able to get the feature to show up in my radio. I did change the settings for the door modules to memory.

In order for it to work you will need the premium door mirrors. You want to look for the factory Chrome mirrors in most cases. You can tell if the the correct mirrors because the white plug will have more than 4 wires in it. If it does not they are not memory capable mirrors. The door modules in your truck will work fine for the tilt in reverse feature you just need to replace the mirrors.

Ahh OK. Nothing I'm worried about upgrading for. Saw a video on it and figured I'd give it a try.

I tried turning on the compass in the evic and I only got 2 dashes to show up. Is there another setting to turn on make them work?

It’s possible that when you enabled the DRL settings that they are there, but defaulted to off. Since you don’t have the customer program setting available to turn them on, try this- instead of going into car configuration change, go into program customer features. Enable daytime running lamps from in there, and see if they turn on.

This did not work either neither did the Canada option

No. I read somewhere else that the compass in the evic used the Sirius/GPS antenna for it's data. I thought the module was only needed for the radio display.

I was able to get the empty to go to 2%. I have full set at 98% and empty at 2%. I haven't messed with the LFW. Anyone have an idea what it is?

No it's used for the EVIC and the radio compass on the RA2. The RA4 gets its GPS from the satellite but it doesn't transfer to the EVIC.

Thanks for the clarification. I will look for a compass module.
