Yes I uploaded everything in google drive before I made any changes and I’ve stuck to things only shown in the forum as confirmed.


On the file that shows all the confirmed changes it shows to use that to change from 3 to 7 cluster.

it’s a little stressful changing some of this stuff not knowing if your creating big problems.

Do you have the 3.0 basic non touch screen radio or the 5.0 5" touch screen?

I switched it out already. Now have 8.4 uconnect from the 5” and switched to the 7” cluster

both installed n working great. But I’m not sure if there are menus I’m missing since I have not made any
Changes with Alfa.

Just not sure if I need to make the change with Alfa.

Got it switched. Awesome. Thanks to all in the forum.

Remember it is not possible to change the splash screens in the earlier speedometers. They are only capable of showing the Ram emblem at startup. That feature didn't become available until 2015 or 2016.

Since you had the 5.0 originally you shouldn't be missing anything. I have the 5.0 and upgraded to the 7" cluster and haven't noticed any options missing

There should be no reason to. I believe some have and may bring up the options that are in the radio.

Trucks that come with the base NON touchscreen radio have the customer settings accessed through the instrument cluster using the steering wheel controls. When you upgrade the radio to a 5” touchscreen, 8.4, or aftermarket, in order to get the settings to be accessed in the radio instead of the cluster, this is “supposed” to be the setting to make that happen.
If you already have a radio that you change the settings through, then nothing needs to be done when you upgrade the cluster.

Oh, ok, because my truck came with the base ra1 radio, I upgraded to the 8.4 radio with nav,and I can change things in the radio, but I never messed with that configuration change in the truck

I had upgraded to a 2015 7" cluster in my 2014, but it wasn't picking up the turn by turn in the evic, so last night I put a 7" evic from a 2014 and it's working great, I did notice that I have 1 less option on this evic on the scroll settings,.. the 2015 evic had like little gears you could select then turn things on and off through the evic, the 2014 evic isn't showing that option in the scroll setting if you know what I mean? Just asking maybe the 2014 evic didn't have that option, or would this ECU conf-4Ipc enable that?

I think that's what I am missing too in my 2014 truck with a 2013 7" EVIC. No vehicle settings are accessible there.

I'm tempted to see if my buddy will let me plug my radio in his 2013 to get the unlock code to prompt again then reinstall in my truck.

That will probably work getting your settings back in the radio, I have them on my radio, but was told that feature wasn't available in 14 on the evic, for me that's ok, I'll just go through the radio I guess..
