I haven’t been able to source the windshield bracket yet. I did reach out to a couple windshield companies to see if they have them.

My friend owns a glass company, he may be able to find the bracket. Does it have a specific name or part number that you know of?

Does it adjust for tire size? I seen you can change tpms thresholds.

Yes you can adjust the tpms thresholds.

Try the mobile version of the software and insert your converted tire circumference in the mm box/field. I did a slightly different 35", three different variations to get the speedo spot on. So you can do individual needed tire sizes, with true heights while mounted. Then just do the abs procedure (as described within alfaobd) IF you get the abs warning instantly.

Agreed. When RAM called after my first week of ownership I told them they need to make voice replies free or at least separate from uconnect subscription.

Its a safety feature and forcing people to try and listen to a list of canned replies each time is distracting.

But as expected nothing has changed.

I have done this and got the tire size to change to the size I wanted and then got the ABS warning. Went in and tried to do the ABS initialize, but all the options to do the procedure are grayed out and will not let me initialize.

This is a trick I have found that will sometimes work. When we install these radios in our trucks that came with the RA1 and RA2 radios the voice texting usually works. I have had my RA4 radio in my truck that came with an RA2 radio for over two years in my truck and the voice texting works. I have installed several of these for people and the voice texting has worked in every one. It has something to do with Uconnect subscription reset when we enter the security code to enable the radio. I had a different radio that stopped voice texting after an update. I got the idea to remove it from my truck and install it in my friends Ram and enter the security code and it actually worked. After the reset the voice texting started working again. I have also had it work on another radio. I am not sure if it will work on a truck that came with the 8.4 but if you know anyone with a Ram I would reccomend getting your security code either from the dealer or inline and install your radio in his truck enter the code to let the radio reset and see what happens.

Has anyone had any luck defaulting the exhaust brake to come on when starting the truck? I know they dont do it from the factory on anything smaller than the 4500 for "safety", but there are a number of tuning companies that have figured it out. If they can do it I would think we could do it via AlfaOBD.

THANK YOU to everyone who has posted. I was able to turn my DRLs on in about 5 minutes thanks to yall.

Also is there a way to get clearance lights ro come on with DRLs? I have the mirror turn signal light mod on mine and would like those ans my clearance lights to come on as DRLs.
You can buy a 7 pin trailer plug and use a resistor to simulate a trailer being hooked up to keep the exhaust brake on.

I should probably put out the disclaimer that I was told when I bought my harness that the extra plug is for the rain sensor. It makes sense that it would be. I can't think of any other option in that area that would require a connector. The only other option I know of are the cab lights and I'm pretty sure that harness is a different part number. I guess it would be worth a try as long as you could figure out how to mount the sensor in a way that it would function properly. If it did I would be definitely be interested in giving it a try as well.

Something else in regards to the rain sensor windshield: is it possible the glass is made slightly different in the spot that the sensor belongs... Like a coating that is elsewhere on the glass that isn't in that one spot, or better yet that tint "bar" across the top is absent from that one area.

My wife's car has rain sensing wipers... I'll try to take a look at hers when I get a chance.

Not sure about the coating being different in the one spot but I would venture to say it probably isn't? Not sure how cost effective that would be and as much as manufacturers try to save a buck... My GC had the rain sense and yes, the painted tint bar was missing a small square of it behind the mirror so either we would have to remove that same section or mount in a different location.

They already do make a specific windshield for rain-sensing wiper equipped trucks (part #68100277AC for a 2017, part #68104203AC for a 2017 WITHOUT rain-sensing).

Of course it has the bracket integrated already but what if there are other differences that we cant mimick by adding the bracket to a non-rain-sensing windshield?

Have you been able to do this method successfully? I have not seen anyone that has yet.

I think it's funny the difference between the two is less than $18. Which would make sense, the pad is $40 and the bracket is probably somewhere near the same. So they're more than quadrupling their profits. Lol

Yes, but what if we never tried. :)

Not trying to be a **** but not only have I spent about 48 hours recovering from using the SRTactivator app and changing my brand and line settings but I just helped someone else recover theirs as well. Luckily, he was also able to come back from it.

Edit: Don't let that discourage you from getting the Alfa app, unless that is the only reason you wanted it.
