When I added the auto tilt selection it showed quite quickly too. Maybe just a difference between 2016 and 2017?

I sort of wonder if a setting auto-unchecks because of a missing module, and maybe one that stays checked but doesnt do anything means there is another setting that needs to be changed?

Might be. It’s either the missing module or it just doesn’t work with Ram trucks. Do you know if it is an actually feature of our trucks?

That makes sense, actually....you can get auto tilt in reverse on a 1500 and thats the setting that sticks but doesnt do anything.

I dont think anyone has ever had auto fold on a 1500.

I kinda wondered, though, if the auto-tilt setting goes through the drivers side door module while the auto fold goes through the memory module. Because I dont have the memory module. Maybe just coincidence and we'll never ever have auto fold working.

The Tazer will auto fold/unfold *as long as the Tazer is plugged into the OBD port*. So Im guessing they know how to send the CAN bus command to fold/unfold. But there is no setting to make it happen automatically, so the Tazer needs to be plugged in for it to happen.

If you look over at the ramtazer thread in the got exhaust section, Nick says with the tazer you can make the auto fold function work.... not sure how it works.

That is definitely not what I have seen before. Going to look into this further!

Keep reading the list. Might be able to enable SRT pages.

The SRT page thing - Ive used another app similar to AlfaOBD. It has a section where it talks about enabling SRT page *but* the head unit must never have had any connection to UConnect, not even the free trial we get when we buy the truck. My guess is that the pages were able to be added in some really old version of firmware that has now been obsoleted once you connect to UConnect and it forces an update.

I feel like thats why no one can add them where they dont belong, the firmware for the head unit is probably somewhat vehicle specific and doesnt have the data to feed the pages, regardless of the vehicle computer settings.

The "press lock 6 times to close windows from key fob" is interesting....I wonder if we can do that with the AlfaODB setting that we thought didnt actually work....Ive never tried to press lock 6 times after pressing and holding unlock to open the windows.

So I got my UAQ second hand. When I initially installed it I saw the SRT page and button on my radio. It did however disappear after appearing to read information from the bcm and cycle the power. I do not think that mine has ever connected to the Uconnect as I have not received the latest crappy update that killed the sound quality.

I have a '17 sport. So far I have enabled the DRL for the blinkers, the windows auto down, disabled the foglight dropout. I attempted the settings for the rear tilt tonight. I guess its a waiting game to see if they actually work. Is there any harm in changing the trim level to see if other options can be enabled. Like from sport to limited?

I just tried the 6 press lock to raise the windows and it didn't work for me. I have the up enabled as well.

I've got the global down set - it only lowers the windows about 2", unless I'm doing it wrong.

Hold the button and it should roll down until you let off.

You need to have the correct memory mirrors in order for the tilt in reverse to work. The standard power fold mirrors do not have the memory feature. A good way to tell if you have the correct mirrors is to Simply pop the door panel and if your white mirror plug only has 4 wires then your mirrors do not have the memory function so the auto tilt will not work. Another way to pretty much be sure the mirror has A memory feature is if it has the factory chrome cover on it because that was only offered on the Laramie and higher trim levels which had the memory options.

So for the white plug... if I am understanding correctly

2 wires is standard power fold only
4 wires is auto dim
5+ wires means memory?

Re the 4 wires - I thought I found a set of power folds for a decent price, but only the driver mirror has 4 wires - the passenger side only has 2. Is that normal since the driver side only has auto dim, or is it a mis-matched set I wonder...

If I'm not mistaken some of the earlier ram pickups only had the auto dim on the driver side in some versions. Also remember the 2013 and up trucks have a different driver side mirror because the temperature sensor is mounted in it. You are correct on the wiring, if it only has 4 wires in the white plug it is definitely not a memory mirror.

Thanks, yeah I'm finding the 4/2 combo a lot on ebay and the like, but none of the 5+ memory mirrors. Well, I did find one set but they were out of a 09-12 so was worried about the missing temp sensor.

Usually if you find the mirrors with the factory chrome covers they are off a Laramie and they will have memory pretty much automatically. You have to make sure it's not just a chrome cover somebody installed on a set of regular mirrors. They are also listed incorrectly on eBay all the time because wrecking yards don't realize there is a difference in the 13 and up mirrors.

Big Horns also come with chrome covers but very rarely have memory, so this isn't a strong determination when on the search for mirrors.

Thanks for the tip. I personally have never seen a Bighorn with chrome mirrors from the factory. I can tell you for sure no matter what it came off if it doesn't have more than 4 wires in the white connector it is not a memory mirror. If I was looking for a memory mirror that's the first thing I would check.
