I’m considering doing the premium cluster upgrade and have been waiting for this app to do the trick. Is it really working? I’ve got a 2014 that I grabbed a 2014 premium cluster from. Will I be able to program the miles and hours? This thread moves so fast it’s hard to keep up with the progress and steps needed.

Several guys have successfully programmed a premium cluster with the new update for alfaobd.

Thanx. I will try that. I also just got an 7” EVIC plugged it in and nothing. Do I need a security code from the dealer? Thank for the suggestions I will look into that

If your new cluster doesn’t boot up then it's probably no good. Verify that the plug is properly seated. You'll need your 4 digit pin for anything that requires a change in the rf hub.

I encountered some issues, somehow enabling DRL or factory Alarm I managed to change my vehicle make to Alfa Romeo, LaramiePowerwagon, extra long wheel base, two fuel sending units, 165 liter fuel tank. I had fuel sensor fail (fixed) Alfa Romeo start up screen (fixed) Service Electronic Throttle (fixed) the only warning I get now is Service Electronic Braking System. Having a hard time finding what changed to cause that. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Try going into the rf hub and checking for faults

The faults it’s currently getting is low voltage license plate bulbs, headlights and Interior Mirror control module.

do you have a download from AFTER the "OOPS" to check settings ETC
and ANY idea what setting you bumped?

I have autoenginuity and messed up my truck by looking at vehicle brand and a glitch the software could NOT show RAM and it "fixed" the letter soup to DODGE and that caused type missmatch across all the computers I ended going to the dealer tail between legs to get it reflashed )-:
and even then it was not 100% till I got alpha and went to town on it

I wish Alpha could save and restore settings like ***-com can
then I and I believe most of the community would try MORE options as there are some I want to try but don't dare to try

Those are kinda odd. If you saved your original log you can compare the current and see what has changed

I have files from after. About 17 photos of the full log I say photos because for whatever reason I am unable to email the logs. I honestly have no clue on how the mishap could have happen. However I believe it happened during the Factory Alarm unlock. Shortly after that I did the HID and DRL settings changed and it happened then. As far as the Alfa Romeo and all of the codes. Currently I have zero codes or messages but, I have my traction control light that won’t go off and my Service Electronic Braking system warning. I can upload the photos if that helps?

A few pages back someone figured out a work around for the upload to drive issue

If you can when you get to the point where you'd select Google drive there should be other options to choose from. Select save to device (maybe under settings) then from their find it on your phone and either upload to Google or email it to yourself and view on a computer

Anybody with power fold mirrors, wondering if I can get someone to try something out, as I don’t have power folds right now. We already know that the auto fold doesn’t work on our Rams....WHEN CONNECTED TO A RAM BCM. I’ve been doing some research and comparing, and found that a Jeep Grand Cherokee uses the same BCM with all relevant circuits in the same pin locations on all the connectors. They also use the same door modules with the same relevant circuits, most importantly the LIN BUS circuit (which is what communicates to the BCM to auto fold). In 2017, the grand Cherokees started with the auto fold feature. I’ve already connected to a grand Cherokee bcm and successfully made changes to my truck with it. I’m wondering if someone could connect to a MY2017 grand Cherokee BCM, and enable “doors- auto power folding mirrors”, and the auto power folding mirrors CSM, and give it a try. The behavior should be- shut the truck off, close the doors, lock them, and they should power fold away (if it works).

First we make them run out of stock of proximity door handles, antennae and RF hubs, now Cherokee BCMs?

:)

The bcm doesn’t need to be changed. I’m thinking the feature actually does exist in our bcm, just like it does in a 2017 Grand Cherokee. It’s just, I think you need to connect to it as if it was in a Grand Cherokee. I’m hoping that since the developer knows that rams don’t have this feature, he didn’t put the ability to change those bits on a ram bcm, whereas, he might have for a 2017 Grand Cherokee bcm. Getting the CSM in the radio is only half the feature. Something needs to tell the door modules to enable the auto fold feature. That setting is in the doors section when connected to a MY2017 Grand Cherokee BCM.

Interesting....so could he force it to show up in a RAM door module? If we tried to connect to a RAM using the Cherokee setting, does it automatically re-select back to RAM, or just not connect at all?

I actually have another s/w package that says it can make changes to RAM but when I tried it it was not nearly as full featured as Alfa. I wonder if they would allow changing of that bit.

It connects. To what, I’m not sure. I can have AlfaOBD connect my Ram to a MY2017 grand Cherokee BCM, and I successfully changed all my mirror settings back and forth. I just need someone with power folding mirrors to try it. All anyone ever did was add the auto fold CSM to the radio, which won’t do it. The auto fold option in the doors needs to be enabled, also. When I’m connected to the BCM as a Ram truck, that option doesn’t show up under doors (for me, anyway), but it does show up if I’m connected as a GC.
