Hey group I have a 2016 2500. First I took the stock wheels off when I first got it, rather than take them apart to get the sensors out I'm concidering buying new tpms sensors...... If the price is right. Can anyone recommend a place to buy them?

And I took my truck in to a " reputable" shop in town for an alignment today. I went to pick it up and they tell me the alignment wasn't needed. They said that they some kind of visual chalk test before hooking it up to the machine and it didn't need any adjustments. I just put a leveling kit and adjustable trac bar on it. Has anyone else every had this happen? Should I take it some where else?

I'd go to another shop....I don't think it's possible to not need an alignment after altering suspension geometry.

I always do my tire swaps at Costco, but I'm running new tires on stock wheels so I didn't get new sensors. I forget what they charge for them

you can buy sensors on ebay for ~$40 for all 4. as far as not needing an alignment....not sure what they checked for when the chalked it but issue with the leveling kit on a 2500 is you throw the front axle off center, especially since you changed the track bar. i guess its totally possible that when you installed the new track bar you set it back pretty good, but i would be skeptical. i would ask them what their chalk test entailed to see if they even checked this. i doubt it.

Look at it like this, you were willing to give the shop money to do an alignment and they were honest enough check that you didn't need an alignment and didn't charge you for one they didn't do. They are in business to make money.
They probably work on a bunch of lifted truck and know what to look for. Does the truck drive down the road straight?
