So I picked up a little Alpine 45w amp awhile back and finally got around to installing it behind my head unit. Ever since the install I'v been having an issue with a crackling sound in the mid to high volume range. The amp is supposed to take power from the HU but I was never able to get that to work so I ran power to the battery like a normal amp and it's grounded to the ground near the battery.
Anyone have any idea on what might be causing this?
I thought about changing the ground location any other good spots?
