Alpine radio finally installed

Installed my floor console and 8” alpine radio today. Had to do a ton of trimming with a 6” grinder with a wafer wheel. Radio bezel had to be opened, and i had to modify/cut the old 6” kenwood mounting brackets. Untill i can do some fab work, it will work for now.

I’m digging the radio great job!!! My floor console is a love hate thing with me, on my 3500 dually I had the colum shift but then I converted to the floor shift.... it makes for a great rest area for your hand and also adds some appeal to your truck. But at times I missed the space in the center

Did you route the shifter cable thru the firewall, how hard was it hooking up the cable? What did you plug the wires from the console into? I just bolted the console in, I havent hooked up the shifter yet. Currently using the colum shifter.

Great thanks man. Ill start ordering parts. So far only things i need are shift cable and tranny brackets to hold it.
