Any ideas for headliner tweeters?
Mike

Disconnect them? Seriously I have no idea what the engineers were thinking putting them up there.

But in reg cabs the alpine system is not so planne dout.

NO sub, NO rear tweets. (My dads Laramie has the alpine and cant event ell the sub is there actually)

Either way, whats tossing speakers gonna do with the stock alpine amp (the real limitation of the system, not?)

Need a LOC and THEN speakers and then youll have full range everywhere, correct? (and can also add a sub that has actual power and bass)

Are there any drawbacks to putting in 2 way speakers in place of the factory Alpine speakers? I think those are 1 way correct? I would most likely make some bass blockers to put on the dash speakers. Some 100 or 120uF capacitors should prevent any frequencies below 800/600hz from going to the dash units.

Nope, you can probably get some bassblockers from Parts express or Crutchfield.

Thanks. I may try to make my own and just solder some caps in to the + side of the adapter harness thing Crutchfield gives you with the 3.5" speakers. I did this on my old Dakota on one side of the rears and used the crossover supplied with the speakers on the other. My side sounded better lol. I wish I knew more about the factory setup though, if the dash speakers are tweeters, surely Chrysler has the frequency tuned to limit bass already.
