Ambient Air Temperature Sensor

I have a 09 Ram, so my sensor is not in the Mirror.

Mine seems to have a mind of it's own when it wants to work.
I bought a new one thinking it was the right one but it looks nothing like what I thought is the AAT sensor.

Is this it?

didn't know my truck even had that. There's never any lights on the dash saying my hoods open. haha

So you know where is the ambient air temp sensor is?

It's been a while since I dealt with a truck of the era, but I seem to recall that it should be just inboard of the passenger side headlight.

Correct, it’s behind the grill right beside the driver side headlight though, not passenger.
