I'm definitely just gonna go without if I have to notch the frame lol. I wish they would do a new style or re engineer these to fit the 3" bodylift though.
My buddy had some custom made for his reg cab f250 with 10" lift on 40s haha

Dat Cummins!
I looked under my truck today and there is no reason why someone would notch the frame if they had AMP steps and wanted to put a body lift on. The steps are attached, at least on my 12, to the factory holes under the body and to the pinch weld. So if a body lift was installed the step, which are attached to the body, would come up with the cab/body. I double checked the clearance and although the linkages are close, there is no way the frame would come in to play with a body lift. The only thing I noticed was the ebrake cable would need to be moved, again.

Sorry guys....I need to take pics of beneath the truck and point out where these points are where it would hit....but its been raining.
But it will hit the center frame of the truck rather than the outer frame of the truck.
As the body lift, the frame stays put and there are 4 points on either side as to where it will hit.
ebrake cable is another thing but can be dealt with.
But when I get time and weather permits, I will post these pics.

Even guys with 1.25" body lift get close to hitting these area's. 3" surely needs the notching.

But let me snap these pics, so we are all talking on the same page.

Love my AMPs. High cost, but so worth it. I get compliments on them all the time. People ask me all the time how I get in since the steps tuck away so well....I open the door and watch their jaw drop. haha

On the 1.25" body, the only clearance issue is on the frame support. I had to hammer that away from the step bracket as it retracts near that frame support when the steps retract.
