Amplified radio antenna?

I contacted Pioneer about the crappy reception I get from their radio and they suggested I contact the dealer to see if these trucks have an amplified radio antenna? Anyone hear of this ?? BTW I have a 2012



This is their response:

Most new vehicles have amplified antenna systems. You would use the
blue/white wire from our unit to trigger this amplifier on. Your dealer or
a professional installer would have vehicle specific wiring information and
can advise you if your vehicle has this.

Poor ground can also cause poor reception. Make sure the black wire is
directly connected to the vehicle chassis. Do not use the vehicle wiring to
ground it.
