Another mpg thread

12.7? Wow- I get in stop and go better than that.
Ok- I've got 8 speed but still. There is something wrong. I drive 35 miles one way every day and get around 21mpg.
With camper I'm still at 12mpg.

First off, are you talking about the lying evic mpg rolling average or hand calculations?

No I don't trust the evic I keep track and calculate by hand.

I wish I was getting 17. I get 14 regardless of highway or city it seems like. I drive like a grandma and use cruise control as much as I can when I'm on flat ground. I do need to get my speedo calibrated better, but so far I can't find a single tuner that will work with a '14 5.7 that calibrates...at least that's what the websites have told me.

Then again if I wanted great MPG I wouldn't have done the lift and bigger tires. I hadn't driven my '15 Grand Cherokee in a few weeks and was reminded what it feels like to get 20mpg in the city.

I also have 8 speed. I dont hand calculate, i go based on what the cluster says. My truck has never seen past the 12's in city. Who gets worse mpg than me? Probably no one. I hold the title.nothing to be proud of but you get my point.

I get the same about 11. 5-12.5 mpg in the winter. My average speed is about 18-19 miles per hour. [emoji41]

3;92's 8 speed, not yet levelled.
I hit 20mpg doing about 75-80.

Not sure now, I still check but my mialge is all over the place since i use my remtoe starter alot.

8.4 mpg towing 6700# camper 90 miles relatively flat 65-70 on interstate then 60 mi. Of secondary highway @ 55 mph.
Not towing 11-17

Yeah those are my tires they are stock size on factory 20s. I figured out the mileage myself instead of the trucks computer. The truck has a 2 inch leveling kit but otherwise stock.

the leveling kit will knock off a mile or two off your mpg. it's messing with the aerodynamics.

Mine's brand new......400 miles.........5.7.....3.92. Cluster shows I'm averaging around 12mpg.

towing or not towing the RZR it seems the same.

will mpg improve with further break in of the truck ??

Most definitely. Give it a good 1000-2000 miles to fully break in and check the MPG again. Also try hand calculating it manually to see how accurate the cluster mpg is.

Best I've seen is 33mpg. Average 28. 19 pulling the boat. Sounds like somethings wrong with all of y'alls trucks
