V-10 RAM
Senior Member
Just stopping by to say hello. I just found this site. I belong to another Dodge forum, but it isn't real active. I hope I find more activity here.
I own a 99 Dodge QC 2500 4x4 V-10 5 speed with 73,000 miles on it I paid a little more than I wanted to $5000 from a private party. But I really like the truck & it pulls our trailer without any problem. Buying a diesel just doesn't figure out on paper for no more miles than I will drive this V-10. The V-10 will be much cheaper to run than a diesel. This comes from an old, tired, retired mechanic.
I bought this truck to tow our TT, 32' 8000# empty.
The Dodge replaces a Ford F250 4x4 460/C6. No comparison at all. Even with all the upgrades I did to the Ford. Things like advancing the timing chain, TransGo 6 clutch forward pack, Hughes HD Tow converter, 5000# AirLift Air Bags, Edlebrock/Holley, etc The Dodge is twice the truck the Ford was. I have owned the last Ford I will ever own. I buy used stuff. I'm not into buying new vehicles I can drive used a lot cheaper.
Anyway, I be snooping around the boards.
We also own a 98 Jeep GC 5.9 Limited, & have owned a 63 Jeep Wagoneer, 80 Jeep J-10, & a 1st gen 88 Dodge D250.
