Hi, I’m re building my 2009 Hemi 5.7, I’ve managed to get a recon con rod, as the bearing had spun in the original, the dimensions of the new one is the same as the old one, but at the top of the original is an oil hole, the new one doesn’t have this hole, also the original has a brass insert on the small end where as the new one doesn’t, it seems to be a tight press fit where as the old one pivots on the pin, this means the new con rod will be pivoting between the piston and the pin, is this acceptable or is it all wrong ? Thanks.
