My parents friends has an R8 with a flat black wrap. It looked really good and held up well. Only hiccup was when he left it with valet at the air port. And someone had tried to buff it. Yeah...

Wraps are awesome - I'd love to do my truck. But having a pro install it can be as expensive as a cheap paint job in some cases.

depends on what you do, about half of a good custom paint...yet your factory paint remains perfect underneath.

Not much info to provide as i have only had mine for a few months but so far it is holding up great from the roads that i am on including 4 miles of dirt to get to and from my house.
I keep the truck parked under covered at both home and work but we will see how the UV protection holds up to the Summer elements.

Very very easy to maintain vs my Satin Black Paint and the color really blends in the dirt so it still looks good (have not washed it since Jan).

Oh and i have got quite a few compliments on the overall theme too so that's a nice little bonus there.
Old video and its a 3G but it still gives you an idea of what it looks like

Wraps hold up very well under normal use. I gotta know though, how come your cousin just didn't have a body shop sand off the gloss clear and spray a satin clear? Or was it not black originally?

This is a 2011 Chally that was wrapped at King. This wrap has 20K on it of ruff interstate 95 driving on it through work zones. Its easy to maintain just a quick spray bottle and rub down.

The satin orange and hood flat black section wrap was around $1800 out the door and was the 2nd lowest quote given when i was checking several shops in a 300 mile radius.

The shop was about 3 hours away but the reviews were all positive and they had quite a few gallery photos on their home page and Facebook page. Turn around was a week.

Lowest quote was 1500 and the highest was 2800 which both were shops within 50 miles.

ahh ok, didnt remember that. if you dont mind me asking, how much did yours cost, or how much do they usually cost, installed and all?

Beautiful and whats nice is that the paint remains untouched so resale value is not affected.

It worked out even better it was a factory black car so when you open the jams are painted black.
