I will be for my next OC. I have typically bought my oil and Mopar filter at Walmart, which runs somewhere around $45 after tax. Last two oil changes in the truck and Jeep I used Pennzoil Platinum and a Mopar filter. This time, I will be ordering Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w-20 and a Fram Ultra filter from Amazon. I'm a Prime member and I can subscribe to these two products and save 15%. Three 5qt jugs and two filters comes to $102 shipped, or $51 per oil change. Still a few dollars more than buying the lesser oil locally, but I'm getting a better oil and filter not not much more. Since I have two Hemi's, the three 5qt jugs works out great, leaving an extra quart to top off if needed.

Anyone else use Amazon's Subscribe and Save for oil, or anything else? I get diapers and wipes too and save 20% on those!

I haven't ordered oil from them, though I might consider it since Penzzoil Ultra Platinum isn't stocked anywhere around here for some reason. I have used them for some other cleaning chemicals/soaps that are also hard to come by locally however.

You might want to check return policies just in case though. Amazon will refuse returns on some items (even those sold directly by them)... I have had them refuse a return on an item damaged in shipping because they claimed their return center could not accept "hazardous materials".. which oil might also qualify as...

Do you bit the bullet and order the whole case? That's what I was planning when I do my next oil change.

Running good oil through a fram filter would be like applying paint sealant with a red shop rag. No matter how good the product is you just screwed it up. Haha

The fram ultra isn't anywhere close to the old orange can of death. It's one of the best filters on the market right now.

Haven't ordered any from Amazon, and probably won't yet.

I found 5-gallon jugs of Mobil 1 Advanced Full Synthetic 5W-20 on sale at Walmart for about $26 each. Picked up two for my 10K change (done last week). I'm gonna go get another if they're still on sale for my next one; I should've grabbed another while I was there.

I ordered my oil and filter from them for my last oil change because no one stocks 0w40 except the dealer. I didn't have a problem with it. I actually prefer it because there is no receipt to lose, if there is ever a question I can pull up my amazon past orders and the picture of my odometer and I have a decent amount of proof that I changed my oil on time. I am thinking of doing the subscribe and save because you can stretch it put 6 months, so it would work put good timing wise.

With the S&S you can also delay or skip shipments. As I mentioned, I buy diapers and wipes also and when we get over stocked, I'll just skip a shipment with no penalties.

I have all the time for my race car oil. I have amazon prime so free shipping and it usually comes out to a few bucks cheaper. Not huge but saves me a trip to the parts store.
