Anyone recognize this vacuum line? It connects to the passenger side of the intake and ran back and down behind the back of the motor. I accidentally broke putting in the bell housing bolts but since its back behind the motor I am having trouble finding the broken end to figure out where it goes. I looked at a few vacuum line diagrams and this one doesn't seem to be on any of them. 1999 Ram 1500, 5.2, Auto, 4x4. Thanks

Transmission vent or if four wheel front axle vent. Gonna need to crawl under to reattach either way.

Ive worked on so many of these trucks and built so many 318's and 360's I know what each vacuum line looks like and its specific routing. That vacuum line attaches to the intake manifold vacuum port on the right (passenger) side of the intake. The specific vacuum port is about 4 inches in front of the #6/#8 fuel injectors just below the throttle body.

5.2 & 5.9 Intake Vacuum Line.jpg

I edited the pic with some arrows.

The YELLOW ARROW is where the vacuum line attaches to the intake manifold on the right side of the intake manifold.

The RED ARROW is the vacuum port where the line to the cruise control connects. The cruise control line connects here and is routed down the side of the intake manifold for about 10" or so and then goes into the protection sleeve around the throttle cable and then routes in front of the engine over to the left side where the cruise control servo is mounted.

The GREEN ARROW points to the line that goes to the HVAC housing and it is the line that passes through the firewall in the foam gasket for the evaporator. This also connects to the line that goes to the vacuum reservoir underneath the wiper cowl.

Thanks for the info, I had actually found the other end of it and was able to patch a piece in to reconnect it, the broken end was inside the wire loom making it very difficult to locate when you don't know what it was for.
With that said, there is another one that is broken, this one is green and looks like it runs to the transmission but again, I have no idea where it connected too, long story short. i ended up with some sort of, looks to be a vented 90 degree elbow, and the line is broken off both ends of it. I can see it runs to the transmission but I have no idea where the other end went to. I am thinking it has probably been broken the entire time my kid has had this truck so I am thinking it might be for the cruise control? Since he doesn't use that, that is probably why it hasn't been an issue?

No worries. Glad I could help. The green vacuum line is the vent line from the transfer case switch since you have a 4x4. I believe the other line to the transfer case mode switch is red and it is the vacuum source.
