Anyone running Vararam-cam kit-shorties?

New guy here. My 2011 Outdoorsman 5.7 is in the shop right now with a potential valvetrain failure. P0300 and #5 is zero compression, apparently. If that's the case, I'm contemplating MDS delete cam kit with shorty headers and a Vararam intake. Is anyone running that combination?

what exactly are you wanting to know?

people will want to know what cam kit? what tuner? what brand headers? why shorty when you can do long? what is your overall goal? heavy duty towing and hauling or blasting the doors off ricers at stop light?

if you can answer a few of those im sure we can point you in the right direction
