I've bought a bunch of different led's to try when I was building my headlights. I'd toss them in for a second to see output and cut-off and if they weren't near what I hoped back to Amazon they went.

The two LED brands I've used are Cougar 3.0 Gold and Fahren.
Both are CANBUS safe, no errors, but I chose Fahren for two reasons: slightly brighter & adjustable base.
Cougar wins on size as everything is self-contained in the bulb housing but the Fahren resistor is small.
Both fit under quad dust covers.

I guarantee the sharp cutoff (and more specifically the sharp contrast) is your issue. The factory quad reflectors scatter light in the best of ways and the cutoff is more of a gradient in my opinion.

I believe you're 100% right on this. I'm going to throw these ballasts on when they come in and recheck things, but I'm about 95% sure I'll be switching back to oem reflectors in a matter of days.

You can make it better by adjusting the headlights just right. The farther out you throw that cutoff, the less "blinding" the contrast. It's a fine line between blinding yourself and blinding other drivers.

I had a 35w innovited kit installed and thr output was horrid. I'm hoping the 55w hyb ballasts will wake the bulbs up some. I just can't keep dumping money into these lights of the output isn't going to be decent. With the leds, I can aim them down and have the ground be lit up beautifully, but I'd only be able to see about 50 feet in front of me. I don't know if its because I've never had a vehicle with projectors and I'm not used to the sharp cut off line, or if the output of the leds just doesn't have enough juice to project more than 50 feet out without fading. Like I said, I'm hoping these ballasts work. If not, I'll be selling these and getting some oem black reflectors or try to find oem projectors at a decent price.

As stated already, how projectors throw light is way different than your standard halogen reflectors. It takes some adjustments and getting used to have a sharp cut off. It gets more defined when you upgrade to good aftermarket projectors. I can tell you that visually I didn't see a huge difference between the 35w and 55w Innovited hid's and 35w and 55w Morimoto hid's. They all seemed really close to each other. The Innovited were more white compared to the morimoto

That's how I adjust my projectors. I do it the best I can in my driveway against a wall, then go out onto a dark road and adjust again so I'm comfortable with how far I can see. Then I find a parked car (usually my wife's mustang) and pull up behind it (at varying distances) to make sure the beam isnt above the top of the trunk. and make minor adjustments as necessary. So far so good.

I'm selfish and go for just under the side views on my wife's Altima.

Added the 360 bulbs. Id say whiter then the ultras and a better spread. They don't have the throw though. But they are staying in for now

I've had my lights aimed up pretty high, to where I can see kind of see further out. The problem was the amount of light getting to those distances was just not adequate. Sure it it lit up the road signs, but it just didn't cut through the dark. We'll see tomorrow, I'll be pulling the lights off again for the 18 billionth time lol

I've had mine in and out so much I've got it down to a science. Takes less than 2 minutes to have the grill and both headlights out.

Even with morimoto mini h1 7.0 projectors and morimoto xb55 hid's they don't throw usable as far as you think. It'll light up road signs 200 yards away but after 50ish feet you don't notice it. I have mine aimed so if I'm behind a car the cut-off is about to the top of the seat, just below the head rest, maybe a touch higher. I have a 2500 with a 2" leveling kit and 1.5" spacer in the rear.

The stock projector that comes in them performed almost as good as the morimotos that I retrofitted into my g1's. If they were bi-functional I would have left them in. I think it's more of the h7 and in my case the h1 bulbs are the limiting factor.

Possibly. But I believe you'd end up having to modifying the size of the opening in the projector and would need a adapter ring for the locking tab.

I'll try one more led bulb.... they arrive Friday.

Reviews seem good. Some say better then ultras
I'll put one of each in my lows and see how they look.

I'd run those a few minutes before buttoning up the job, 110w might get your wiring!
