I'm not big into tricking out my audio system... but I can tell the audio in my 2013 Express is a downgrade from my old car. I replaced all speakers... I'm happy with the results but it's still lacking bass.

I'm looking at putting a Sound Ordinance B-8PTD under the back seat and using a Scosche LOC80 to tie in to the factory head unit. Has anyone tried similar? Good results?

I would run with a seperate 8in woofer and a mini series amplifer from a reputable manufaturer one that comes to mind is the msk 500.1 by skar audio and would sound much better than the sound ordanence all in one.

Yup, factory Express radio, Kicker Hideaway, no need for a LOC...power, ground and a tap, good to go.

The kicker Hideaway is a beast also. Probably the only one I would spend money on.

I just installed a Brand New Kicker 11PES10C 10" 450 Watt Class D Solo Classic Powered Subwoofer Enclosure. It was simple to run a power wire and audio inputs to. It was a bit expensive and really heavy but i got a good deal on it. It has a huge sound for just a single 10 inch sub. Fits easily behind my seats and can be removed real quick if i need the space with two plugs.

I found you can get a kicker 11pt8 powered sub for under $200 bucks. I was doing some measurements and looks like it fits in the storage compartment of my single cab. Anyone try one of these or know how it sounds compared to the hideaway?

The PT8 is very similar, just in a truck wedge box versus a small compact enclosure. But yes, it will really help the lowend.

I'm going to go Kicker Hideaway as well. Don't need a lot of bass and don't want to sacrifice the storage under the back seats.
