Anyone's truck also missing this panel?

I just noticed in my '14 Ram Sport that it is completely open above my pedals. From the hood latch forward towards the front there is nothing covering the internals. Is anyone else's like this?

I see two spots with screws where it looks like at one point there was something there but today I looked at another Ram on the lot at my job and it was also missing the same possible panel with the screws the exact same way as my truck.

No clue if they’re purposely like that but my 2016 2500 also has that panel missing, noticed it while installing footwell lighting

A lot of vehicles don't have a panel above the driver's side door well, and you can see up under the dash of you look up. Unless your really vertically challenged or like to lay on the floor of the vehicle. There is usually one on the passenger side to help cut down noise from the HVAC system fan

Yes, that's standard. Mine's the same way. Bought it new that way so no one has messed with it.

My 17 doesn't have it either. Went to check the canbus wiring on my brother in law's 19 grand Cherokee and the darn panel was in the way lol

Might look at some parts diagrams to see if it even exists for our trucks.

Mine has this with a whole bunch of connectors that aren’t plugged into anything.
