Good evening ,

My 2019 ram 1500 is about to hit 119k miles. To date I have kept up with oil and rotations, 2 batteries, 1 set of tires and a radiator. Yes original breaks still going strong .
I would like to do a major service on her , what are the most important areas I should have looked at and or replaced? I am hearing some “marbles” and knocking in steering… I believe I have an electric steering mechanism.

Any help would be greatly appreciated , i love my truck , and she’s been tried and true since I drove her off lot Jan1 2020. I want my son to have her when he’s ready and won’t chinch on the proper service and parts.

Thanks in advance everyone , God Bless

That's a big order to fill. All fluids. Differential (front and rear if 4x4), transfer case if it's 4x4, transmission fluid (that's another subject all by itself), engine coolant, brake fluid (some don't believe in it, but there is science behind it). I'd be checking serpentine belt, idler and tensioner pulleys. If the belt is original, replace it. I'd suggest replacing the idler/tensioner at this time as well. They are not expensive and at 119k they've done their work. Clean the throttle body and entire air induction system (new air filter if not recently replaced). Spark plugs. Check all your suspension components. If your shocks are still factory, they are going to be worn (rears at minimum). Ball joints and wheel bearings should be inspected for excessive play. Same for u-joints (although u-joints aren't typically worn out that early, just good to check). Check engine mounts, transmission mounts for decay/tears in rubber.

Is that a decent list to start with? :laughing1:
