I think General makes a good tire. Back in the day I put a set of Grabber ATs on my big Bronco. I could go places in 2WD that I couldn't go in 4WD with the Goodyear Wranglers. I put a set of General tires on wife's car 18mo ago, no problems.

I may go with this size since I tow and rolling resistance might be better. Also at this size, I gain an inch over the stock tires (275/60/20). Have you ran this size tires? Do you like the look?

I had Falken Wildpeak AT3W in 275/65/20 on my 2016 1500 with a Bilstein 2.1" level. It's not as pronounced a difference as a 35 obviously, but it gave it a better look. I liked it and when parked next to stock it was pretty evident. I had 3.21 gears and towed near my limit; there wasn't that much of a difference in towing performance, I'd say the transmission shifting was a bit off but that was really it. They are significantly heavier than stock and the mpg's dropped. It was trial and error to find a good tire pressure for empty vs towing. I think I ended up around 40-42 psi empty and 50 psi towing.

How was the road noise compared to the stock god awful SRR tires?

I have 295/60/20 trailblade xt on my 2017. Had them for a year so far and 7500 miles on them lost 1/32 tread and rotated them only once. Had them in mud, snow rain and performed awesome. Atturo is actually a pretty well known brand unlike some of the guys are saying. Everyone loves the ridge and trail grapplers from nitto but don’t seem to have a problem with them mostly being made over seas. It’s all personal preference you go with what you want I just wanted to let you know my experience so far is great. Have a good one.

I had no complaints whatsoever with road noise or traction. Pavement, snow, heavy rain...it didn't matter. I didn't go off-roading with the truck so I can't comment on that. They have, IIRC, 18/32 tread depth with full-depth siping, which was best in class. I ran them also in the stock size before switching to the 34's and they wore pretty quickly is stock size for some reason- I would not opt for them again in stock size, but have no hesitation in 34".

Here’s proof that the MT is good in mud and sand. Didn’t need 4X4 [emoji41]

Ok, so I ended planning to get the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 with 65K miles warranty. 275 65 20. Big o tires have them for 271.00. More then my original budget but I think from reading what it's made for; I like it "The Terra Grappler G2 is Nitto’s next generation all-terrain light truck tire specifically designed to meet your everyday on and off-road adventures. Whether you’re commuting to work, towing a trailer or headed up to your favorite mountain trail; the balanced off-road and on-road performance of the Terra Grappler G2 will get you to your destination."

Thanks...

Does anyone have experience with the cooper All terrain tires? Discount tires have them on sell for set of 4 with 75.00 Visa card.

My brother runs the Cooper Discoverer A/T on his 2004 CTD 2500. I believe he's had 3 sets now and usually gets around 45-50k out of them. That's pretty good for a tire less than $200 a piece.

That is pretty awesome! I looked at them as well but the side walls isn't as aggressive as I like. The pricing is pretty good though.

I have a set of those tires on the 1500 4x4 that I gave to my son. They have about 40k on the now and look like they have at least another 10k left on them.
They work pretty good on snow and surprisingly well in mud.
This is when they were new.

Did you get the 121S XL 5-ply or the heavy duty 126S E rated?

Congrats on purchasing the best all around performance truck tire money can buy.

I'm not sure. It doesn't have that detail on their big o site. I just know I got the 65k warranty one which is cheaper then the 50k warranty one.

Unless you’re towing heavy often or rock crawling there’s no need for a 10 ply on a half ton. Fuel mileage per gallon and noise will suffer, but yes you’ll get more miles(life) because of harder compound and more 2/32” Tread depth.

I have a set of 33 MT's on now and they are great in snow and mud. I live on a farm road so they see a bit of everything. Haven't had any issues in rain either. I got them with just about 3/4 tread and 15k on them and I've easily put another 20K on them myself and they're around half tread now. I'm likely to get another set before we head out to do some fall camping/overland trips later this year.
