Auto window not working for going up

My truck as the auto up/down feature for the front door windows. The drivers side has stopped working for putting the window up. Passenger side window does both still.

It's going into the dealer soon for some other stuff anyway so will have them fix it, but just wondering if there is some quick fix I can do myself.

Have you tried do the reset???

"Starting with the driver's front window (if multi-cab) roll it all the way down holding the button and keep holding it for 10 seconds and release. Then holding the button up and letting the window hit the upper stop hold onto the button for 10 seconds more. The do the same with the passenger side. Both should start working again. It's a safety shut off, sometimes if you catch a bump hard enough while using auto-up/down it'll go into default."

Mine have done this several times... usually this time of year since you are rolling windows up and down a lot...
stimpy tells no lie.... it works

Window Switch UP and Hold for 5 seconds
Window Switch DOWN and Hold for 5 seconds

Repeat two more times.

Mine will do this occasionally. After awhile it will go back to normal on its own

Just do the reset, works like a charm.

While we're on the topic, any idea why this is a thing? I've never had it happen before in any other vehicle I've owned.

Safety feature so you don't chop off little Scruffy's head by hitting "auto up" while he's got his head sticking out the window.

Mine did this the other day but starting working again the next time I drove it. I'll have to remember the reset procedure if it happens again. I also had the exterior button to lock the truck stop working for 24 hours as well.

When you do the relearn you’ll actually hear a click from the door when it’s learned that up/down position. Usually only takes a couple seconds once it reaches the full up or down position.

And glad it's there for that reason and more... once you know the fix it's no big deal

Mine do it all the time and this is exactly what I do and it works really good for a while.

Having the same issue with my 2015. Passenger window will go down if you press the switch part way, but if you press to auto it stops and won’t continue down unless press half way. Auto up works fine. Any suggestions? If I press the switch all the way down the window stops so I can’t do the 5-10 seconds after the window reaches the bottom stop.

Open it with the switch half way pressed like you do and when it hits bottom hold it. Try it. You have nothing to lose.

Thank you all for the FIX. The day it stopped working in up mode, It felt like it hit something on the way down. The suggested reset work like a charm.
